Is this a page-a-day blog now

I am happy I am using this sketchbook I've had for years and only used sporadically before now.

Today's page involved actually physically weaving the page paper with some scratch paper I had lying around.


I like how it came out, I feel like it would be a good background texture for a future doodle.

I also added more flair to yesterday's which I like best of all the versions:

First Trip of the Year to the Library

It is very important to visit your local library. I try to go once a week and I always have a good time. I was able to almost completely break a shopping habit by going on library sprees back when I was in university. Did I read all of the books? No, but I had a lot of fun and didn't get stuck with things I didn't need doing it. The crafty books are among my favourites. I adore all sorts of handicrafts whether or not I have any proficiency in them. For one thing, they always have pictures, or at the very least diagrams, and we all know all the best books have pictures. My haul for my inaugural 2026 library visit includes: 1. A book on making rag dolls 2. Two books on Halloween crafts 3. A thick tome called "Flea Market Flair" 4. My required at least one (1) book about origami I really like origami.
