does finishing this excuse not being here for a month?

Not that I did it all in one month, but I was pretty single minded with my free time for awhile.

Why?

    that is so cool !! i have a friend thats also making a lot of these, im gonna show this to her, its gonna motivate her to keep going, they look so pretty like that. did you count how many are there ?

      I made 1005 cranes. It was supposed to be 1000, but I put 45 on one string instead of 40 (oops). Putting 1000 cranes together like this is called a senbazuru if you want to look up more examples. I wish your friend the best of luck!

Buy local, get crafty

Got everything I needed to start my new project today. I was delighted to find a local art supply store to buy all the materials in lieu of going to Michael's. It was so charming and full of all sorts of fun stuff and the person who assisted me was so helpful and welcoming. I definitely found a new favourite spot. As you can see, I got started basically as soon as I got home. I'm so in love with the colours!
